Poznan turnout system in CONTRACK technology

Installation of two prefabricated turnouts made with hybrid technology, using specialized gantries without the need to pull down overhead lines, while maintaining continuous traffic on the adjacent tram depot tracks? All this is possible thanks to CONTRACK technology and has been executed at the Forteczna Depot in Poznań.

The Poznań project was divided into 2 stages, during each of which prefabricated turnout slabs were laid on a previously prepared substructure, which, once levelled, was rinsed with mineral material ensuring significant durability increase. As part of the next step, the turnouts from Kolejowe Zakłady Nawierzchniowe “Bieżanów” were installed at the target location and integrated with previously installed slabs. This provided the perfect opportunity to showcase CONTRACK technology and related construction and logistics works to a wider audience of industry professionals.
